“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within
me.” Psalm 51:10
Our Heavenly Father loved us so much that He sent His only begotten son to die for us on the cross. When our Heavenly Father looked down on the cross – He saw His Son and His Son’s blood and He also saw that debt of our sins was paid in full. Our Heavenly Father is more concern for our hearts, emotions, attitudes, intellect and our whole being. He wants to reign in our hearts. All we have to do is let Him in through His Son Jesus Christ.
In Ezekiel 11:19, He promised the following: “And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:”
As we let Him in, we become His living Temple as He takes His rightful place and sits in the thrown of our hearts. As Jesus clean out the Temple in Jerusalem, He is cleaning our Temple from inside and out. As He cleans this Temple of ours, all we have to do is repent of our sins and wrong doings. And all we have to do is have a humble and teachable spirit. We have to have a willingness to change and grow in His merciful spirit. Our ways are not His ways. As He walks through the chambers of our heart – we become pliable to His sweet Spirit as our life takes 180 degrees change.
As we continue to humble ourselves, we slowly become the person the Lord wants us to be. Each one of us has a calling on our lives and His Spirit will guide us to become that person. He is not only changing us, but He is making us whole. As we become whole our lives become abundantly too. We have been transformed by His love. We are no longer Steve, Joe or Pete, but a new creation in Him. As we walk in this journey and our lives are changed into the image of Christ.
